From swine flu to ANH petitions, fortified bread and GM foods

4th May 2009

In this eBlast we give you our current take on the swine flu epidemic. Yes, you’ve guessed it—we can’t help using terms like ‘hog hoax’ and ‘hog hype’ to describe media, government and pharma industry response to the spread of the new variant of the H1N1 virus. When you compare the actual known risks of this virus with the responses taken, it all looks massively disproportionate. And who gains most from all of this?

The peddling of fear, as encapsulated so brilliantly in Kevin Miller’s film We Become Silent, is the pharma industry’s biggest weapon. We just need to learn to read between the lines, find out what the real threats are and respond accordingly. Given present data, this means doing precious little other than keeping a watchful eye on the situation.

In the links below, you’ll also find out why mandatory fortification of bread with synthetic folic acid is such a bad idea whilst hearing the good news about the European Parliament Petitions Committee’s recent decision to proceed with two petitions from the ANH. One of our petitions challenges the science being deployed to-date by European authorities in their attempt to soon regulate maximum levels of vitamins and minerals across the EU; the other makes an urgent call for more research on the additive and cumulative risks of wireless technologies, from mobile and cordless phones, to wireless systems, phone masts and pylons.

We’ll soon have a lot more video material up in our multimedia section, also covering last weekend’s presentations by ANH’s Rob Verkerk and Meleni Aldridge at ground-breaking health freedom conference in Oslo, organised by ANH’s Norwegian affiliate, Fritt Helsevalg. The Norwegian people have had enough! Norway, being outside the European Union, has seen fit to be even more restrictive than most EU countries. A host of natural health products available in the adjoining EU, including all single amino acids, MSM, glucosamine, capsaicin, have been banned. Fundamental freedoms have been trashed by a blinkered government, and the Viking spirit is alive and well….so watch this space!
